Lively fresh scent of summer apples, gooseberry jam, milkshake; on the tongue a sweetness encased by mineral notes, lots of length with subtle notes of paprika; strong finish with stimulating notes of orange zest. A nice drop that reminded me of a roller coaster ride, a good five to six years future and nice with Kassler with sauerkraut, vegetable gratin or simply as a chatting wine. Incidentally, the Felsensteyer site has been classified as “First Site” by the Association of German Quality Estates. More about the estate
