To the tune of 75 000 pounds (85 000 Euros), a 200 year old bottle of Château d´Yquem from the year 1811 was recently sold in London. According to the Guiness Book of World Records, it is the most expensive bottle of white wine ever to have been sold.

The proud new owner is the French wine collector and sommelier Christian Vanneque. He has been living in Bali since 2001 and will be opening a restaurant in which the treasured sweet white wine will be held on display for the grand opening.
