Floral harmonie – 90 bonvinitas Punkte:

2022 Chardonnay Kabinett dry, 13% alcohol, German Praedikatswein Baden, Winzerkeller Auggener Schaef: On the nose, notes of rhubarb compote, mirabelle plums and a hint of blossom honey; on the tongue a strong drop with clear fruit reminiscent of apple compote, with a hint of pepper in the background; harmonious finish on a prominent floral base with a touch of pistachios. Nice with fish fried or chickens.

2023 Sauvignon Blanc dry, 12%, quality wine Baden, Winzerkeller Auggener Schaef: Typical, fresh, delicate green scent with notes of lemon balm, green olives and green peppers; very lively floral notes on the palate with hints of fennel and zucchini; spicy finish with nutty notes, slightly salty underpinnings. Well suited to salad dishes or grilled steaks,

About the Winzerkeller Auggener Schaef

More than 400 winegrowing families of the cooperative are cultivating around 520 hectares of vines, mainly on the edge of the Black Forest in the so-called Markgraeflerland in the triangle between the Swiss and French borders. The sites are mainly located in Auggen and Laufen on loess and limestone slate soils. The predominant traditional variety is Chasselas, which is also found a lot in Switzerland and was once brought from there to the Markgraeflerland. www.auggener-wein.de
